In my work with individual clients, I offer a customized approach. The theories and models most present in my work have a similar thread that value the therapeutic relationship as a primary change agent and that honor your strengths and own self-insight as the leading sources of expertise in the room. I have experience and training in a variety of theories and treatment modalities which include but are not limited to: Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, LGBTQ+ Affirmative Psychotherapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Attachment Theory, and Multicultural Counseling and Theory. Though I use an integrative approach, I view clients through an attachment lens and focus on relational health.
I believe the most important ingredients that I bring to the co-created experience of therapy, are compassion, empathy, warmth, a sense of humor, and humanity. I believe strongly in the inherent goodness in everyone I partner with in therapy and work to help them get in touch with their self-worth and motivation to live their best lives.
